Beloved Star The actor Pat Finn, Known For Parts in Seinfeld and The Middle, Passes Away at the Age of Sixty.
American actor Finn, who featured in popular television series such as "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has passed away at 60 years old.
The comedic improv actor passed away at his residence in LA recently following treatment for cancer from 2022 onward, according to reports.
"Pat Finn considered no one a stranger - solely future friends he had yet to meet," his loved ones shared in a message.
They noted that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with happiness and energy".
A Prolific TV Career
His initial on-screen part was in the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he played the brother of the main character.
He was also seen in a recurring role on "Murphy Brown" in the latter half of the 1990s.
He appeared as a party host named Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, depicting a host known to delegate burdensome jobs to his guests.
In the 90s and 2000s, he had guest spots on a variety of hit series, including:
- The King of Queens
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- House
He was most recognized for portraying Bill Norwood in "The Middle", featuring across eight series over nearly a decade.
His work in movies include It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.
Beyond the Screen
Beyond his television work, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and worked as a teacher at the University of Colorado, where he was a professor.
He was part of a comedy group of six called "Beer Shark Mice".
"Finn coached, befriended and mentored many learners over the years and you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone anywhere who has an unkind word to say about him," his relatives stated.
In a tribute, colleague and actor Richard Kind remarked there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, making those around him better and funnier. An excellent dad and person," he shared publicly.
Finn is leaves behind his partner Donna, his children, and his parents and siblings.
